Kenny's 2nd Grade Dance Moves

If this doesn't make you laugh, I don't know what will.

A breakthrough ski season!

We had an incredible 2016/2017 ski season!  Darin labeled it the boys "breakthrough season".
They ended the season begging for moguls and complaining if a run didn't have any!
Sarah was back at it after missing most of last season because of her back.  She got a couple of "girl" ski days in with Jennie.
This was the theme of Sarah's 40th birthday ski day--wet snow made turns impossible....so plopping down seemed a better alternative.
We mostly skied Winter Park, but got two weekends in at Steamboat (tee pee picture below), a day at Copper and a weekend at Crested Butte.  The boys logged over 20 days on the slopes!
We feel so blessed to live in a place that allows us to be on "vacation" every weekend......and that our boys have developed a love for skiing too!

Jacob & John turning 6!

We had a fun few weeks of birthday celebrations for Jacob and John!  We kicked off with a playdate/party with kindergarten friends.  (L to R: Andrew, John, Koen, Jacob, Eli)
I panicked the night before the party....two hours with 5 kindergarten boys!  Making slime was the perfect, focused activity to keep them laughing and out of trouble:-)

Celebration 2 was opening Grandma Bolthouse's present on the first day of spring break.
They each got a pair of Heeley's (shoes with wheels in the heels).
Celebration 3 was Junglequest (indoor ziplining/rock climbing) with our best buds the Jaspersons.  We came home for ice cream sundaes afterwards.
The grand finale celebration #4 was their actual birthday!  We had hibachi at our favorite restaurant and then cake and presents at home.
John was THRILLED to get two boxes of Pokemon cards.
Jacob was THRILLED to get a Lego set.  (Kenny was thrilled to help Jacob assemble his Lego set:-)
Jacob is so happy to be 6!
The J's birthday fell over spring break, so we wrapped up the celebration a week later by decorating the school rock (Pokemon themed of course).

We love these two so much.  They bring joy to our lives daily!
