"Christmas" Morning Pictures

We placed a special request with Santa to come early since we'll be in Iowa for Christmas.  We left reindeer food (oatmeal mixed with sprinkles) and cookies for Santa.  Kenny was so excited to find the crumbs Santa left, and the presents:-)

Now our sled is packed and ready to head East to Iowa.  We're thankful to be 2 days behind the big blizzard!  Merry Christmas!

Christmas Song video

Kenny's Preschool Christmas Party

Kenny's Preschool Christmas party was this morning.  I bribed him into wearing the dreaded corduroy pants:-)  His class performed 3 Christmas songs for the parents and then ended with singing Happy Birthday to Jesus.  They had a food party afterwards!

The littleist pyros....

Darin bundled the boys up after dark today and sent them on their way into the backyard.  Guess where they ended up?  They arrived back at the door 15 minutes later looking like this.  Oh my....

Fixing the Firetruck

The boys were dressed in their Christmas plaid for church this morning.  Afternoon play brought an attempt to fix the firetruck!  Of course it required lots of tools...enough for 3 boys and Daddy:-)  It entertained them for a long time...I'll have to keep this activity up my sleeve!

Dudes in their Christmas duds!

Jacob, John and I had a Christmas tea this morning while Kenny was at school, hence the festive duds!  Jacob was so into his outfit he actually posed and asked for more pictures!
It will take a miracle to get Kenny in anything other than firefighter wear in the near future.
John is in love with the vacuum and sneaks it out of the closet whenever I'm distracted.

Yo! From the brothers...

We've accumulated quite the collection of hats, and the boys put them to good use entertaining me yesterday!
Jacob is NOT a hat boy.  Any type of hat comes off immediately.
Kenny loves anything to do with Superheroes....so this Spiderman hat was perfect!
John loves a good hat, and has the attitude to go with it:-)

Fun Weekend!

We had a fun weekend around here!  Darin was off Friday, so we headed to downtown Denver for the Children's Museum.  It was no surprise that the 3 boys wanted to camp out in the Firefighter room there!  Driving home was extremely sunny, and Darin had to resort to wearing my sunglasses:-)  He he he....
Another exciting event was finding winter weight firefighter boots for Kenny.  He abandoned his firefighter rain boots and Jacob quickly took them over.  Our house is filled with the boy-made sound of sirens:-)

Caught red-handed!

John is our sneaky little ornament thief!  He particularly seems to like the popsicle star Kenny made.  I caught him in the act....he didn't miss a beat....broke into singing "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star".  Oh boy....this one is going to give us a run for our money!

Thank goodness for "Friday":-)

Darin has an off-Friday tomorrow, which makes TODAY our Friday!  I'm one thankful mama as the "Christmas Spirit" (aka--hyperactivity) has descended on our home.  Ha ha....what a fun time of year!  The three are convinced Baby Jesus loves candy:-)

Ho ho ho....

My MOPS group does a Photos with Santa fundraiser each year.  We opted for a family picture with St. Nick. The J's didn't cry, but as you can see they're not exactly thrilled with the big man!  Kenny is totally into it this year....and asked Santa for a racetrack.  What fun!

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

Thanksgiving was a wonderful whirlwind around here!  (Pictures to come).  After 1 day of recovery, we've moved on to Christmas!  My 3 little elves are a BIG help--you can't even imagine the fights that have taken place over the baby Jesus from the nativity:-).  Jacob & John were up for a photo session in front of the tree.  Jacob scored Baby Jesus for the shoot and John settled for Mary.

Baby Jesus is getting lots of love--we're trying to do more kissing than biting!?

Jacob & John's One Foot Game

The only two things that Kenny didn't "pass" at his preschool conferences a month ago were knowing his age and being able to stand on one foot.  He has the age mastered now, but we've been trying to do "one-foot parties" to help him master that.  Unfortunately, John and Jacob are much more into it than Kenny!?:-)

Here bunny bunny!

Post-time-change Monday

Time change went surprisingly well, but that didn't stop Jacob from eating Cheerios off the floor!  They've also taken to playing superheroes after bath.  All three boys jump off our window seat.  No broken bones yet!?:-)

We're on a sugar high:-)

Oh my....what a fun Halloween!  We costumed-up at 4:30 and headed to our friends' house for a pre-party including pizza and scavenger hunt.  Then we headed back to our neighborhood at 7 for trick-or-treating.  Our neighborhood is older and full of empty nesters.  I think they all have more fun handing out candy than the kids collecting it!?:-)  We went to about half of our neighborhood.  By then Kenny's bag was full and he was tired.  He literally said, "I have enough candy now.  Can we go home?"   Jacob and John rode in the wagon eating candy (and probably some wrappers) the whole way.  Now what to do with all this candy??

Leaves are falling!

Most of our leaves are down, which means the rakes are out in full force!  We need to invest in a few more....only two rakes means 1-2 whining boys:-)  By next year, maybe Darin and I can sit back and relax while the boys do all the labor!?

Pumpkin Carving

We had a fun time carving our pumpkins!  Kenny stuck with cleaning out his pumpkin like a champ.  John was the most unproductive....he was either trying to eat the insides or was scooping the goop in with the separated seeds.  Jacob seemed to grasp the process, but his motor skills couldn't quite keep up!

After carving was complete in the backyard, we had a pumpkin moving ceremony with the wagon.  Too funny!
The finished product....3 jack-o-lanterns and 3 happy boys.  Bring on Halloween:-)
