Mommy's Night Out

....well that's what Kim's husband called it anyway (I wasn't so fond of the name). Kim and I headed to Royal Oak for a fun Friday out. We tried a new place (for us)...Oak City Grille was the perfect atmosphere to feel footloose and fancy free (a very special feeling these days:-).

Happy Father's Day!

It was a beautiful day for Darin's 1st Father's Day! Of course the guys HAD to have coordinating outfits....and we couldn't miss the photo op! We dropped Kenny off with Gma Bolthouse and then headed to a Tiger's Game for the afternoon....the best of both worlds:-) Hope all you Fathers had a great day! You're so special and important to us!!

Happy Boy!

Kenny was a sleeping champion last night, so he awoke bright-eyed and happy. We hung out a little in our pj's (it's rainy day after all), and then moved on to bath time. He's doing well and packing on the pounds--check out these chubby thighs! After 1.5 hours of fun, he was worn out.....so back to sleep!

Goodbye Aunt Laura....

My Sister Laura visited us for the week. We dropped her off at the airport this morning. Here are a couple of cute pictures with Kenny & Auntie and Kenny with Mommy. Thanks for visiting us Laura! And for taking such good care of Kenny. Darin and I enjoyed the many baby breaks:-)

Celebrating with the Sherfey's

Our dear friends Mike & Kim are moving on to bigger and better things now that Mike has graduated from his residency. We were honored to celebrate this huge accomplishment with them. It was wonderful to have one last hurrah with them--we're going to miss them terribly!

Bathing Beauty

Kenny LOVES bathtime! Especially lounging by the steam while he dries off and warms up. Thursday's bath put him right to sleep (perfect opportunity for me to eat breakfast:-).

The Graduate

So I posted pictures from Nate's graduation party, but none of them showed Nate! Better late than never:-) Here's a picture of Nate and Kenny after the Graduation Ceremony. How sweet!

Kenny is growing so quickly (and is so tall already) that he's outgrown his newborn clothes and is already filling out the 3 month sizes. Here's a cute little Pooh outfit one of my co-workers gave us. Thanks Dave!

Weekend Visitors

Aunt Caroline and Uncle Phil visited Michigan over the weekend. Kenny was the perfect little baby and slept most of the visit away:-) It was wonderful to see them, and of course the time together was too short. Thanks for coming to visit and spoiling us with lots of wonderful baby gifts!

Sunday included a family hike at the Ledges State Park. Nate and I loved this ledge overlooking the Des Moines river....good thing we're not scared of heights!

Last Day in Iowa

So sleepy--it's been a busy 1.5 weeks in Iowa. We're sad to be leaving, but ready to spend some time with Darin! We've been missing him terribly. Thanks Iowa family for a wonderful, restful time--we can't wait to come back!

Uncle Andrew is great at burping, but hasn't taken on changing diapers yet. This quilt is from when he was a baby:-)
