1st Day of Christmas!

It's our first day celebrating Christmas! Darin's off today, so we spent the morning relaxing, opening gifts, and playing!

Downtown Aquarium

We ventured to Downtown Denver for the first time this weekend. The Aquarium was wonderful!! Here's a picture of Kenny and Darin in the underwater tunnel--so cool!

New Year's Resolutions

It's that time of year....when pigouts happen daily. Don't let this be you:-) Ha ha...it's pretty cute on Jacob though...don't think he needs any New Year's Resolutions other than to stay cute!!

3 Little Firemen

Our Michigan neighbor's gave us this fire truck. It survived Ryan, but I'm not sure it will survive 3 more boys! What fun....though I'll be a senile old woman singing the song it plays--HA!

Happy Boys!

Jacob and John seem to be frustrated more lately! I think they're anxious to be on the move. Both were happy for a few pics today:-)

A Quiet Saturday

Darin took Kenny up the mountain for his first ski experience. The babies and I have had a peaceful day at home. Jacob is starting to experience forward progress with his creeping--scary for us!! John didn't sleep well last night, but took a long morning nap and awoke a new boy. YAY!

Jacob's on the move!

Finally FRIDAY!

It seems like forever since we've had a Friday with Darin at home (the last two we were traveling). We're enjoyed the more relaxed day....playing in front of the Christmas tree. Can't say the boys have grasped the concept of "better to give than receive" though....ha ha...it's all about taking the other's toys--for all 3 boys!?:-)

Jacob is 8 months old!

Jacob is our happy little mover! He is so strong and determined. He's pushing himself up to hands and knees, and hands and toes, but hasn't figured out how to move forward. In the meantime, he's been rolling to get what he wants. Obviously Jacob is talented with gross motor skills! He continues to be our big eater (seeing the box of Cheerios induces great excitement), and big sleeper (he sleeps at least 12 hours at night:-). Jacob seems to be a little frustrated these days, which could be teething or maybe frustration in wanted to be moving more than he's currently able to. We're blessed to have his sweet soul in our lives!

John is 8 months old!

John is our little lover! He loves being rocked and cuddling before nap & bedtime. He also loves grabbing the hair at your temples and pulling you in for some love! John continues to be talented with anything involving fine motor skills. He recently discovered his hands & fingers, which he found incredibly interesting! John seems to have a special bond with big brother Kenny. His newest thing is cutting three top teeth all at the same time. Poor guy has been suffering quite a bit (a long with the rest of us:-). John is a special little guy whom we love greatly!

J&J are 8 months old!

Jacob & John are at such a fun stage! Sitting up and playing. They're also babbling away! John says "Mama" and Jacob says "Dada"....couldn't be more perfect! The only downside is that we're in cold season. I've finally accepted the fact that runny noses will be part of our household until spring:-( We love having these two beautiful babies in our lives!

Kenny is 2.5!!

Most of the time this is a good thing:-) Kenny is so much fun--loves playing with his brothers, singing & dancing, anything art related (water colors, markers, crayons, stickers), and ANGRY BIRDS on my iphone! His speech has taken a major leap in the last two weeks. He's started repeating EVERYTHING we say in question form. So cute and fun!! He's also started declaring his love for everything from pancakes to his mommy:-)

It's Hat Wednesday:-)

Today finally feels "normal" around here. Everyone slept reasonably well last night and awoke happy. I've been slacking on picture taking, so Kenny's hat antics seemed the perfect subject matter to get me back on track! It also provided some much needed smiles and laughter first thing in the morning.

Sleepy Head

Daylight Savings Time has been a rough adjustment around here. Kenny has been up by 6:30 every morning this week....and falling to pieces by his 1:00 naptime. He didn't quite make it today! I took John up to bed and found Kenny like this:-)

Play Do Boys

We moved the hanging high chair from the kitchen island to the table. Jacob & John have been enjoying being part of the action (aka--closer to whatever their big bro Kenny is up to). John was loving the play do containers!

SERIOUS Snow!

It's another winter wonderland around here--glad we put the lid on the sandbox yesterday! Should have put away the planters too:-) We're cozied up in fleece with the fire going and furnace turned way up. Kenny and I will venture out for snow play when the babies go down for their morning nap. I'm thankful to not have anywhere to go...takes the stress out of winter weather!!

J&J's 1st Halloween

Jacob and John had a pretty uneventful Halloween. They wore the cute costumes, but just rode along in the stroller while their big brother had all the fun! The stuck it out for about 10 houses, then Darin took them home while Kenny and I continued on. John's monkey costume is so cute--made me wish I had one for Jacob too!
