Kenny and John had a fun playtime yesterday. Kenny is wearing his new Cars underwear (they're working wonders for potty training--he doesn't want to get McQueen or Mater wet:-). John was also holding onto the rattle all on his own! It won't be long before the three boys are playing (more likely getting in trouble) together!

Lucy's new love....

Apparently Kenny isn't the only one in love with the stuffed leopard! After loading everyone up in the car, I realized I'd forgotten something in the house and ran back in....to find Lucy cuddling up with the Leopard. Too funny!

Krazy Kenny!

Crazy Kenny awoke this morning and wanted to put on his winter pjs?? Then he went exploring in the diaper changing bin (he discovered the box of wipes makes the perfect step stool). He's a smart boy...always figuring something new out! Yesterday, he was putting his matchbox cars through his basketball hoop. They'd crash onto the hardwood floor and make quite a racket. John was napping close by, so I told Kenny he couldn't drop the cars through the hoop anymore. He proceeded to hang the cars form the net of the hoop--so he was still getting what he wanted, but no cars were crashing to the floor. It was hard not to laugh:-)

My dear friend Kate gave the babies these onesies. Kenny was excited to have Jacob & John dressed up like Thing 1 & Thing 2...he LOVES the Cat in the Hat!!

I was a big finger sucker when I was little, and so I've been curious to see if any of my offspring pick up the habit. It seems little Jacob is following in my footsteps. Hopefully he'll break the habit earlier than I did:-)

Darin and I were watching reruns of Dukes of Hazzard last night and started laughing at some of the similarities between Jacob and Boss Hog! Ha ha...at least we know that Jacob will grow out of his chubbies and baldness:-)

Saturday Stroll

We headed back to Red Rocks for Laura's last hike. Darin decided Kenny should walk for awhile. Kenny didn't agree and sat himself down....walked about 20 yards whining the entire way....and was back in the backpack for the rest of the hike. Tired 2-yr-olds are no fun!! But at least we had fabulous views!

Friday...hopefully no Fevers!

It's been a busy day around here. It's Laura's last day visiting. She took Kenny out and about while Darin and I took the twins for their 2 month checkup. The babies are doing great. Jacob weighed in at 13lbs 2.5oz (61st percentile), while John weighted 12lbs 2oz (37th %tile). Jacob was 23.75" (57%tile) and John 24" (67%tile). Their heads were the same at 16" (45%tile). They did great for their shots (3 each, and 1 oral vaccine). They were sleepy after the appointment, so we stopped at Lowes and bought a refrigerator for the new house. It's been a pretty sleepy/lazy afternoon as you can imagine. Babies have been dozing and Kenny is watching cartoons. Anything to avoid crying today:-)

2.5 Months Old

The babies are growing up so fast! They're 2.5 months old today. We have their 2 month checkup on Friday. I'm anxious to see their weights. Jacob continues to be a little linebacker. He's filling out some of the 3-6 month clothes already! Both boys are happy and social--when they're not tired or hungry of course:-)

Tuesday Morning Fun

One of Kenny's favorite things to play is Train. This morning, the basket was part of the train! I talked Kenny into letting his brothers on the train with him. Jacob was a better passenger than John:-)

Did I mention it's hot here? Kenny took a nap in only his diaper. We took it off when he got up, so he could practice his potty skills. He decided his golf skills needed some practice too:-)

It's HOT here today--and our rental house doesn't seem to have AC--so we stripped down the boys to their birthday suits. Here are some pics of John enjoying the freedom!

Red Rocks Outing

We spent a couple of hours this morning exploring Red Rocks Ampitheater. There was a great hike beside the ampitheater. The theater itself is amazing--a smaller venue with incredible views! We can't wait to attend a show there (minus the three boys of course:-)
