Ski Racers Ready!

Two inches of snow yesterday afternoon led to ski panic in the house:-)  Darin came home from work and turned on a Warren Miller Ski Movie (think extreme ski scenes coupled with cool music:-).  It was long after that Kenny dug his skis out of the basement closet and wanted to ski around the house.  The grand finale was John and Jacob each wearing one ski and stomping around the big circle in the house.

Little Drummer Boys

We've been doing some serious music playing around here!  Kenny was at preschool while the J's and I rocked out.  They're really into the drums at the moment:-)

Friday Night Fun

Nothing says Friday night like a couple of boys on the sofa reading books.....wild night here at the Bolthouse house:-)  It was so gorgeous, we were outside ALL DAY!  The boys should sleep well tonight.  Please God let the boys sleep well tonight!!

Thursday night pre-dinner play:-)

Boys with skills!

Our house isn't one without impressive skills....ha ha!  While I was making dinner last night, Jacob & John were doing this wide-legged stance.  They would fall over, or get stuck after spreading their legs too far, but they didn't tire of the activity for a full 15 minutes!:-)

Lovey Brothers Video

Our 3 Ski Bums:-)

It's almost 50 here today, so we were out in the backyard after lunch.  Kenny asked to put his skis on, which turned into a 3-ring circus:-)  He really wanted to go down the big hill, but we quickly moved to the slightly inclined yard.

Kenny made about 5 runs before calling it quits
Jacob couldn't wait to get the skis on when Kenny was done with them.

I carried him to the top of the yard, and he didn't even want to wait to be pulled.

He had great form, but looked down the entire time!
One run was enough for him:-)
John couldn't be left out of trying out the skis.  He did great at the top, but halfway through the first run was ready to have the stiff ski boots off!

Fun adventure....now mama's ready for a nap:-)

Getting back in the groove....

It feels so good to have Darin home....Kenny couldn't help but get in a few extra cuddles (SO mad the picture is blurry:-(.
The J's have been up to their normal antics....they must have both been feeling generous for these pictures because usually more than one in the cube turns into a monster fight.

One of my friends dropped by with cookies and balloons for us.  The boys each had a helium balloon, which they loved to let float to the ceiling.  Grandma had to bring in the rake to rescue the balloons from the vaulted ceiling in the family room!

Happy New Year!

We had a lazy day around here.  Most of the morning was spent in PJs, then we had our good friends over for lunch & football.  The boys figured out how to squeeze all three onto the new tricycle.  The play was firefighters to the rescue (of course:-).

Everyone loves brownies!

Enjoying Great Grandma's Brownies:-)

Great Grandma Whattoff is the best hostess!  She had her helper (Aunt Laura) make brownies for our visits over Christmas.  The boys didn't waste any time eating them!

The boys were spoiled with gifts over the holidays too.  Great Grandma & Great Grandpa look on while the three open their match box cars and candy.

Grandma was so tuckered out by the end of the visit and went into her room for a nap.  After Grandma had fallen asleep, Jacob started putting pieces of food into her hand.  Jacob wouldn't want anyone to go hungry:-)
