Views of Pregnancy

Many friends & family that aren't in Michigan keep asking to see a "belly picture". Here you go! 27 weeks down, 13 to go....

Nursery News

We're getting really close on having the nursery complete! We decided to do a little ski theme (cross your fingers I win my vintage child ski poles off of ebay:-). Here's how the room looks at the moment.

Here's the picture waiting to be hung over the crib....along with some vintage ski poles (that's why winning the ebay auction is so critical!!!)

We were so excited to receive the mobile off or our registry from dear friend Katy (all the way from Japan:-). It looks great, and will hopefully lull our little boy right to sleep!

Darin's Birthday

Darin's turning the big 3-5 on Tuesday! We celebrated with his parents and Grandma on Saturday. Terry was disappointed my belly didn't "show" more in the pictures (I think he's excited to be a Grandpa:-)

Holiday Recovery

We had a wonderful Christmas and New Years. I don't think we could have packed in one more thing!? This weekend was filled with some much needed R&R before we head back to work. I came home from some errand running to find Darin and Lucy sound asleep---it was so cute I had to run get the camera (Darin was thrilled:-)

New Year's Eve

We had a wonderful New Year's Eve getaway in northern Michigan. The weekend included a sleigh ride to see elk, then an 11 course dinner in a beautiful log cabin. The weekend also included a cross country ski endeavor with Amber (her first time). Here are Amber and I, ready to hit the trails.

Then it was time to get ready for the big sleigh ride. It was scenic and chilly (and just a little stinky:-)

Here's a picture of one of the sleighs. The draft horses really got a workout!

We finally arrived at the log cabin where our 11 course dinner would be served. It was so festive....and warm.

Here's the first course ready to be served. We had to pace ourselves--a new plate of food every 30 minutes--whew--my stomach hurts just thinking about it!

Darin and I in front of the fieldstone fireplace. Happy New Year everyone!
