Prylow Pictures

The Prylows just shared the photos they took during our visit. I love the one they took of the two boys on the blanket--and Kate holding Kenny. It's hard to believe Johnny will be that size in just a few months!

Photo Shoot

Kenny and I ended up in coordinating outfits today, which led to a mini photo shoot. It was harder than I thought trying to coordinate Kenny's smile with the camera timer. We did lots of laughing in between shots at least:-)

Reunited at last.....

My dear friend Kate and I were finally able to catch up today after a long 6-month hiatus. Kate's little girl, Lena is getting so big--and talking! She found Kenny to be much more interesting than her little brother Johnny (just wait Lena:-). Kate and I had a wonderful visit, but I think we're both looking forward to a time when our boys are off playing rather than latched onto us!

...this little piggy.....

Kenny loves playing "This little piggy" with his toes, but the title seemed more appropriate for his dinner last night. I'm not sure where more of the cereal ended up....on Darin, on Kenny, or in Kenny:-)

Girly, Girl Cuteness

Some of our friends recently welcomed a baby girl into their family. I was definitely out of my element shopping for girly clothes! However impractical, this little dress was too cute to pass up. (In case you can't see--the dress is navy with little eiffel towers on it:-) It almost makes me want a little sister for Kenny!? Ha ha ha...

Waking Up After Nap

Kenny is either screaming and in tears at the end of a nap, or happy & talking. Of course we prefer the latter and managed to capture it on video. It was too cute not to post for all to see:-)

New Toys!

Kenny has been antsy the last couple of days. We've been trying everything to satisfy him, including bringing out some new toys. It's funny because he always ends up with the plastic rings from the fisher price "ring stacker" stuck on his arms...I have a feeling he doesn't find it so funny:-)

Big 12 Banter

Some of our friends gave Kenny the softest red fleece jacket. Of course my first comment was "Red for Iowa State--YAY!". They're from Nebraska and had the Huskers in mind...ha ha. I cheer for any Big 12 team now that I live in Michigan:-) Needless to say, I couldn't resist putting a paper "N" on Kenny's cowboy hat and doing a little "Husker" photo for our friends. He looks a little like the husker mascot, don't you think?

Sarah's New Do

The last couple of months have been a rough transition....especially considering all of my lush hair from pregnancy was falling out:-( I finally talked my stylist into chopping it off. I love the results....Darin's response was "It's pretty!?":-)

Kenny's 1st REAL meal:-)

The doctor gave us the go-ahead to start Kenny on cereal. Sunday was the big day. Cameras were rolling to capture the big event. Kenny liked the really thin version, but started making faces after I thickened it a bit. Now it's a morning and night ritual--I think more ends up on his face, shirt and hands than in his mouth at this point!

Hail to the Victors!

I broke down and dressed Kenny in his U of M outfit for the big Michigan vs. Notre Dame game. Darin and Kenny were doing some pre-game cheers. They must have paid off since Michigan came out the victor!

Chubba-Chub

Kenny's little thighs have gotten so fat.....we have to spread out all the rolls for washing in the bath! We had his 4-month check-up on Thursday night. He's 26.5" long (90th percentile) and weighs 16lbs 13 oz (78th percentile). The doctor referred to Kenny as a "tall, thin baby", which made me laugh! He rolled over during the appointment and thoroughly impressed the doctor with his advanced motor skills! Yay Kenny--we're so proud of you:-)

Where's the Kitty?

Everyone in our house is enjoying the beautiful Michigan weather--including Lucy:-) She's back to her normal self now, but is still a little wary of Kenny. This is the closest she's ever intentionally come to him and the first chance I've had to photograph the two of them. I don't think they'll be best friends anytime soon...

Jummmmmmmmmp!

Kenny LOVES jumping---he's starting to get some air! It's the perfect activity since it tires him out, but he never seems to tire of it:-) I think we're in serious trouble once he becomes mobile...

Walking with the Wildlife

We took an early evening hike in Kensington Park and were amazed at the number of wildlife we saw....deer, heron birds....and all of them didn't seem very concerned with us. The hike was typical in all other ways--I ended up carrying Kenny when the trail was uphill, and Darin had him on the downhill portions. How does that always happen?

Mommy Love

We braved a few minutes outside this evening before the mosquito swarm chased us in. I think this is Kenny's 1,354,267 kiss of the day:-)

Thursday filled with FUN

Kenny is so much fun these days--being four months old suits him well:-) He's smiling and laughing all the time. And he LOVES holding soft toys and sucking on them. We had another beautiful afternoon filled with outside playtime followed by a bath. All this led to a happy, tired boy at bedtime. Let's hope he sleeps through the night!?

Backyard Fun

Kenny and I spent lots of time outside yesterday. The weather was absolutely gorgeous here! Darin got home early and joined in the fun. Too bad these types of days are numbered--it's starting to feel like fall:-(

Kenny & Grace

Grace (a family friend) visited a couple of weeks ago, but I'm just now getting around to posting it. She enjoyed holding Kenny. He's just about as big as she is:-)
