It's been a week of stormy weather around here. This double rainbow was after a sunday afternoon rain.
Then the big storm struck on Monday afternoon. It was terrifying! I was sure the golfball size hail was going to break the windows out of the front of the house. Thirty minutes and three inches of hail later, we survived. The boys have had great fun shoveling, but Mommy & Daddy are dreading all the cleanup around the yard and house (paint touch-up, replacing our house numbers, screens, and landscaping lights)--UGH!

Saturday Hiking
We were itching to find some fall colors, so trekked up to Evergreen and the Twin Sisters open space.
This was our first break for snacks & rock climbing. The boys rocked and made it the entire 4-mile loop with little complaining. They might be ready for a 14er next summer:-)

John's own personal RED day!
John picked out this outfit all by himself.....and was determined to not change the shirt out for something a little less RED! He declared it red day, and therefore dressed in red from head to toe:-)
