Sock Drawer

Kenny's latest thing is to ask for his sock drawer to be taken out and put on the floor....of course he points and grunts....not words yet! Then he proceeds to take out, put in and sit in the drawer.

We spend most Friday nights in downtown Farmington at the free pavilion concerts. All the kids love dancing--and Kenny has a little girlfriend that we usually see. I just got the new iPhone, so had to try out the camera feature--next time I'll have to hold the phone landscape!:-)

Lions at the Zoo

Kenny's favorite animal at the zoo was the lion! The lion did his part by putting on a little show, actually moving around and doing some loud lion noises:-)

Kenny's 1st Trip to the Zoo

We met the other 4 families from parenting group at the zoo today. It was Kenny's first visit. He did great! We were thankful for the cooler temps and lower humidity, but still had to swing through the McD's drivethrough for some ice cream cones and powerade on the way home!

Kenny's Hideout

The shelf is Kenny's room is a ladder-style. There's just enough room for him to crawl behind. He loves throwing all the toys off of the bottom shelf too. Not so good with the clean-up yet!?:-(

We stopped in to see Darin's Uncle Phil & fam when we were in Traverse City a couple of weeks ago. Their kids had outgrown the little mower and Kenny fell in love with it. They graciously gave the mower to Kenny...and it's one of his favorite things! Thanks Phil, Biff, Annalyse & Charlie!

Friday Night Fun

We had a relaxing and fun Friday night. The humidity was much lower today, which made being outside bearable. Kenny headed back out after bath...and was obsessed with his golf clubs and the corn hole game. Oh to be one and intrigued by EVERYTHING!:-)

Todd & Deanna's Happy Shower

Darin's brother Todd is getting married in October. Todd and Deanna's bridal shower was today. What a fun way to end a vacation! It was a beautiful day celebrating the happy couple.

Torch Lake

We spent a day on Torch Lake, which is a beautiful spring fed lake. Darin taught Kenny how to drive the boat. Yikes!!

Sleeping Bear Sand Dunes

We spent a day at Sleeping Bear Sand Dunes National Lakeshore. We climbed to the top of Pyramid Point and had a beautiful view of Lake Michigan. We carefully descended the dune to the shore of Lake MIchigan. All the hiking made for some hungry guys....and the water was too refreshing to pass up too.

Cherry Festival

We had a wonderful couple of days in the Traverse City area. We couldn't miss the Cherry Festival. Kenny tasted his first cherries and took his first ride on a merry-go-round. He loved the cherries more than the ride--although that's bound to change in the coming years:-)

Great Grandma Gronda's 4th of July B-Day Party

Wouldn't it be fun to have a birthday around the 4th of July? Great Grandma Gronda has a pool party every year to celebrate her birthday (along with our country's:-). It was HOT this year, so we were extra thankful for Ralph and Angies shade trees and pool. It was a fun day of play with the Grondas!
