A birthday treat....

The Sherfeys sent a fun package with a gift for Kenny. He wasn't too interested at first, but as soon as I started tearing paper that all changed. We love The Very Quiet Cricket already!

We're finally back into our normal groove...brushing teeth....playing....napping. Life is GOOD:-)

Last Day in Rome

Darin was stuck in the hotel room working all day, but I made the most of our FINAL day in Rome. I walked to Castel St. Angelo and took in the amazing views of Rome.

We traveled home on Wednesday. The trip was uneventful and we were relieved to land in the U.S. after 3 extra days abroad. It's a trip we won't soon forget!

We LOVE Venice

The best part of being stranded in Italy for 3 days was that we were able to see much more than we'd planned. We took a high speed train to Venice on Monday (3 hr train ride). It was an amazing place and well worth the trip.

We had a great afternoon of wandering around Rome: The Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain and lots of picture-perfect Piazzas kept us entertained. Here are a couple of videos from the Pantheon.

Roma....Roma....

Sorry...no pictures to share, but thought I'd post a text-only update of our Roman Holiday:-) We arrived yesterday, napped and attended the welcome reception--lots of "shop talk" to my dismay! The trip has been great other than no iron (REALLY!?) and general electrical problems with all my beauty appliances. The electrical converter melted while I was trying to do my hair today....not sure what that means for the rest of the trip!

We had a group breakfast and team building activity this morning. 3.5 hours of making a pasta commercial with 10 other people from around the globe--very interesting. Now all the official stuff is behind us and we get to start touring around. YAY!!

Kenny spent Saturday with Grandma & Grandpa Bolthouse. Grandpa gave Kenny old golf magazines (in honor of the Masters?)....Kenny knew just what to do with them:-)

A Great Gronda Easter!

We had a great time celebrating Easter at Great Grandma Gronda's house yesterday. Uncle Ralph and Aunt Angie along with cousins Maria and Grant helped spoil Kenny. Kenny spent the night with Grandma & Grandpa Bolthouse too! What fun!!

Kenny's first Easter was a bit of a bummer due to a spring cold:-( But we still managed to enjoy some warm weather and tulips!
