Winter Walk

Kenny and I were a little stir crazy this afternoon (it was Darin's turn to go to the gym:-)...so we decided to bundle up and go for a walk. It was wonderful to be outside in the fresh air. We need a mini-shovel on board the stroller though....for the houses who didn't find the time to shovel!

Thrilling Thursday:-)

Kenny loved playing with the kids in the nursery while I was at Yoga! He came home hyper and happy and was especially fond of Lucy and the little orange ball (he was playing fetch with himself--I'm not sure if that's cute, or something I should be disturbed by??:-). We had his 9 mo doctor's appointment tonight. Kenny weighed in at 20lbs and is nearly 29" long--what a big boy!

The Great Chef!

Now that Kenny is mobile, he's joined me in the kitchen for meal prep. I keep him busy with metal kitchen utensils that make great musical instruments!

Serious Sipper

Kenny has embraced drinking out of his sippee cup. He throws his head back and drinks his water like it was an Olympic sport:-)

Fun with Grandpa & Grandma Bolthouse

Kenny spent Friday and Saturday with Grandma & Grandpa Bolthouse. Darin and I had a wonderful time being footloose and fancy free. And Kenny had a great time too---all the Cheerios he could eat, a new walker to cruise around in, and two playmates that never grew tired of him! Thanks G&G--we can't wait to do it again:-)

Thursday Bath

Kenny was fascinated by the little naked boy in the mirror tonight:-) It was a happy bath time!

Parent Group

The parenting group through our hospital is a fun way for Kenny to play with kids his age. It's also a way for us to understand Kenny's personality. He LOVES socializing...and is turning into the ring leader of troublemaking for the group...just check out these pictures!

Iowa Fun

True Love

I met my good friend Erin for lunch while in Iowa. Kenny loved Jennah and especially Jack--he squeeled with excitement and latched onto Jack with a big hug...and unfortunately showed his affection with a bite too--sorry Jack! Erin told me later that Jennah had declared that she and Kenny were going to get married and have 5 children.....and that she's hoping Kenny doesn't bite when he's older--ha ha! Young love is so cute:-)

Flying High

Kenny and I flew back to Iowa last week to visit family while Darin flew off to CO for some skiing with friends. Kenny loved the excitement of the airport--the cool fountain, and all the shiny metal objects! I wasn't too excited about the dusty rocks though:-(

Superbowl!

It's Superbowl Sunday and Kenny could care less--he's more interested in all of his books--especially his favorite "Freight Train". At least he's dressed in Saint's colors (Thanks for the new outfit Grandma Bolthouse!).

Sunday Cruisin'

Kenny is all over these days. He's not quite brave enough to walk on his own, but loves cruising around the living room furniture and behind his walker. His mobility means that our life has changed drastically....AGAIN:-)

Kenny's 9 Months Old!

It's my 9-month Birthday today! Can you tell how excited I am:-)

I'm so mature that I can get around the house all by myself. Pretty soon I'll be hitting the slopes--that's why I'm wearing my Hurley t-shirt!

I got a new carseat to celebrate. I like relaxing in it and watching Sesame Street!
