Part III: Bern

We made a quick stop in Bern on our way from Chamonix to Zurich. Bern took us across the invisible language line from the French to the German speaking part of Switzerland. The architecture was just as beautiful though!

Here's a church from Bern that rivaled our favorite church in Geneva.

Our favorite aspect of Bern was the cobblestone streets and storefronts. The storefronts were built under the arches on either side of the street, which made window shopping very unique! (Yes, just window shopping! It was Sunday, so all of the stores were closed:-(

Part II: Chamonix, France

After our metropolitan start, it was off to France and the Alps. We spent four days enjoying the scenery and doing our best to ski, but the warm weather resulted in avalanches that closed many of the trails.

Darin led Sarah down a closed trail, which resulted in Sarah falling down a lot! Needless to say, Sarah wasn't too happy with Darin at the bottom.

Here's the beautiful view of the Alps and Mt Blanc from our hotel room.

Swiss Honeymoon Part I

We know this is somewhat tardy, but we thought better late than never! Here are some of our favorite pictures from our Swiss honeymoon.

Part I: Geneva

Our first day in Geneva....we managed to speak enough French to have a local take our picture! Ordering food was a different story:-)

This is one of MANY fountains in Geneva. We didn't realize until Day 2 that there's a beautiful fountain on every corner. Unfortunately this was after taking about 20 pictures of fountains and making absolute Tourists of ourselves:-)

Our beautiful Geneva home was the Hotel Les Amures. It was hundreds of years old, with the original beams exposed on the ceilings!

Beautiful churches were as plentiful in Geneva as fountains. This is a night shot of a cathedral just behind our hotel.

We've officially joined the web generation!

Thanks to Sarah and Matt for inspiring the blog.

We love all of our friends and family dearly, but there just aren't enough hours in the day to stay in touch the way we'd like. Hopefully this will be a simple and fun way for you to stay in tune with the latest happenings here in Michigan!

My goal is to update this weekly. So be sure to bookmark our page and check back frequently!
