Steamboat Springs—February

The only picture from the weekend doesn’t capture all the fun!  We skied with the Camaglia clan...celebrated Mardi Gras with a fun, New Orleans style band in the ski village, and took in the ski races and snow sculptures in downtown for winter carnival. Steamboat is a cowboy town, so the ski races took place on a snow-packed Main Street.  Kids were pulled by horse down the street—it was fun to watch!

SUPERBOWL!!!!

Darin was on his annual guys ski trip, and we enjoyed our annual eat junk food and watch the Super Bowl party!  Cheetos, Doritos and  nacho bar.  We tried something new—eating a jelly bean for every first down.  (Our stomachs may have hurt by the end!?)

Telluride ROCKS!

We had so much fun in Telluride!  What a beautiful mountain and town!
Our favorite spot on the mountains was “The Beach”.  They created a multi leveled amphitheater in the snow.  Kenny and John relax at the top level.  Jacob spent his time sliding down the hill with some kids.  Darin and Sarah enjoyed the live music and beer tasting.

ONE quiet weekend at home

We’ll be setting a record for travel this winter, skiing nearly every weekend.  So it felt good to relax in pjs and play some chess before the craziness hits!

This is one of the few snowfalls of the winter in Denver. The boys used sand buckets to make snow bricks and build a fort.  What fun!!

Steamboat Springs Skiing-January

We love the hospitality of Steamboat—free cocoa in the village!

This crew is ready to roll!

Jacob lost his front tooth right before our trip!

Resting up for another big day on the slopes.

Jacob’s Christmas Creation

It was a labor of love, but he did it!  It’s a massive Star Wars something??  Ha ha!  Mommy still has lots to learn!
