Michigan Friends in Colorado are THE BEST!

Life is sweeter with friends—and these friends have been a part of our life for YEARS:-).  The kids since birth and the mamas for 15 years! 

We had a great adventure hiking to the top of Devil’s Head Lookout.  The boys showed Aubrey how to Boulder.

We were thrilled the tower was open earlier than normal, and that this long-time forest ranger (Bill Ellis) was manning his post. 

Grandparents + Spring = Bliss

We always love having Grandma and Grandpa visit!  This trip they “kidnapped” the boys for the morning—donuts and Target toy aisle while I got a morning of peace and quiet.  

Grandpa spent hours learning and then teaching the boys these 3-D brain teaser puzzles.  

Grandma spent hours playing speed and slap jack with John.

We all had fun eating Big Bill’s Pizza and playing Monster Golf.

The grand finale was a woodworking project with Grandpa.  It’s serious business when the saw comes out!  

Closing Weekend at Steamboat

We had an incredible ski season thanks to the Mountain Collective ski pass:  Telluride, Snowmass, Taos, Jackson Hole, Revelstoke, Lake Louise, Sunshine.  We wrapped up the season at Steamboat Springs with great ski conditions and fun with friends.  

The snow was heavy by the afternoon and we were tired from hiking up....so mid-slope Break was in order:-)




It wouldn’t be closing weekend without fun entertainment!  We watched cardboard races on Saturday. This pink Cadillac slid down the mountain filled with grown men dressed as Elvis.....AWESOME😂.  The kids played in it while the parents + Bella listened to the live music.

John’s 7th Birthday Party

John requested an arcade birthday party, so Boondocks was the place!  Laser Tag was a great way to kick off the party!

Jacob’s 7th Birthday 🎉

Jacob’s first solo birthday party was so fun!  We went to an indoor nerf gun place after school and followed that with pizza and ice cream at home. It was simple and fun and the boys had a blast!  Jacob was especially proud to be featured and not have to share the spotlight with his twin!

Dart Warz + 8 boys + Pizza + Trampoline + Ice Cream Cupcakes = SUCCESS

This trampoline might be the best investment we ever make!  All 8 were inside the entire time we were home.

And then we headed to the Jasperson’s for a delicious Easter dinner.

HAMILTON

Hamilton the musical was AMAZING!  We listened to the soundtrack before going to prepare ourselves.  We weren’t singing along like the lady next to us;-).  Our favorite character and song was King George!
