John has fine, thin hair....making for a styling nightmare. We went for his first professional haircut. He was awesome--sat perfectly still in the chair the entire time.
The finished product...a spiked front....and now for finding the perfect hair product:-)
Jacob & John's birthday on Saturday was cold and snowy, so we put off giving them their gifts until Sunday. They took right to the 4-wheelers and spent the next 1.5 hours driving around the yard. We were so proud of Kenny, he took it all in without getting mad or trying to get on one of the 4-wheelers. Maybe he'll get a turn today!?:-)
My Colorado baking skills aren't quite up to par, so it was a confetti cupcake box mix to celebrate Jacob & John's birthday. It was so fun to see them finally get it....the song, the wish, blowing out the candle, and licking the icing off of the candle (last year they tried to eat the candle too:-)
John has taken to saying "I'm big now mom!" (We're using turning 3 to push for more independence:-)
It took a couple of days to convince Jacob he was turning three and not five. But he's sure he's turning 5 next year!? Funny boy....wants to be just like his big brother Kenny!
We did an experiment yesterday. Instead of napping, we went swimming for 3 hours! Of course the boys had enough energy left to play outside for an hour when we got home. Jacob mysteriously disappeared. I didn't take me long to find him tucked in bed with Spiderman and his Easter basket (filled with empty eggs:-). John didn't have any problems staying awake (thanks to the popsicle?)
